Eloise Barton
Bio: Eloise Barton wrote her first book over 25 years ago--a 125,000 word novel based on the blending of her four and her husband's five children into one big happy--well, interesting family. The manuscript did not sell. Eloise turned to shorter works and soon sold over 100 stories and articles, including several confession stories. ("With what my children told me, could I ever write confession stories!") After the death of her husband of 30 years, she supported herself by working at the California State Fair. In her spare time, she devoted herself to her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren (36 at last count). Eloise has now retired, remarried, and moved to the beautiful mountains of Northern California where she is learning to garden and catering to a big black Lab (a retired service dog) and four demanding cats. When she is not gardening, catering, or writing, she and her husband enjoy going fishing and riding on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Her first book published by Hard Shell Word Factory, FINDING MARIAH, was an EPPIE Finalist in 2001. Her newest, HEART'S HOME, was published in 2005. Eloise is now rewriting her first book.
