Bio: Maria tells us: "A little about me: Two of my stories made the Preliminary Ballot for the 2001 Bram Stoker Award in Short Fiction. My stories have appeared multiple times in Gothic.net, Chiaroscuro Magazine, Horrorfind.com, and Unspeakable Oath. A story recently appeared in the anthology SONGS FROM DEAD SINGERS by Catalyst Press, and I have a few more stories scheduled to appear over the next few months, including one in Kealan Patrick-Burke's HOUR OF PAIN anthology. My poetry collection Biting Midnight: A Feast of Darksome Verse, with Christina Kiplinger Johns, appeared this August and the first print run was almost sold out by October. I am also President of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Horror Writers Association."
